Investigation slide

 WALT: Investigate a worldwide problem

For this task, I needed to research a worldwide problem, and I chose global warming. Then we had to break it down into what the cause of the problem is, what the size of the problem is, and describe the worldwide problem. Maybe next time I could add some more detail about describing the problem.

living things and their habitats

Walt: Write 2 to 3 things about what you learned

For this task, I needed to read an article about living things in their habitat. My favourite part when completing this article was writing down the things I learned that stood out most in the article. Maybe next time I could add one more thing that I learned in the article.

I learned that when bees fly away with pollen they carry it on their feet and wings. I also learned that flowers don't have any other way to give pollen to other flowers.

Multi choice word problems

Walt: Solve Multi choice word problems

For this task, I needed to solve maths word problems and choose which number/ decimal point answers the equation. My favourite part when solving the maths problems was using a strategy called place value partitioning. Maybe next time I could use another strategy to work out the multi-choice maths problems.

Lost and found

WALT: Practice reading using key reading strategies

For this task, I needed to read an article a day about mammals around the world called Lost and found. My favourite part was reading the article and learning lots of things from it. Maybe next time I could add another thing about the article Lost and found.

I learned that Beehler and his team didn't have enough time on the expedition to study the area. I also learned that the scientists found out that the creature they saw was a type of Honeyeater.

Niue language week

WALT: Undertsand Niue language week

This week we are learning about Niue language week and finding out 3 words in Niue. I like Niue language week because we learn new Niuean words and we learn about their culture. Maybe next time I could add some more Niuean words and say what they mean.

Fakaue: Meaning thank you
Koe Kia: Meaning goodbye
Fakalofa Atu: Meaning hello

Maths word problems

 WALT: Complete maths word problems

For this task I needed to solve a maths word problem with the equation, working out and the answer. My favourite part while making this was reading the problem and thinking about what the equation could be. Maybe next time I could use a different strategy for my working out.
