Quebec sugar season

WALT: Increase our knowledge by reading a wide range of texts (Article a day)


For this task, I had to read an article called Quebec sugar season and write 2 things I learned in my book of knowledge.

I learned that from the end of February through the spring province will celebrate the sap from maple trees. I also learned that visitors are invited to take sleigh rides through the forest.

Need for speed

WALT: Draw A vehicle of your own and make A description of how it works.

For this task, I wanted to draw something simple so I drew A vehicle called the GX22. 


This is a vehicle I like to call the GX22 made in 2020 and can hit a speed of 500mph and has won thousands of world records and races.
my secret to how fast the car is because of plutonium.

Once upon a time in a land far far away there was
a king and a princess living an amazing life with there two children with the name of Jack and Jill. One day while the king and princess were away Jack and Jill went up a hill to visit the well and eat apples from the tree. Jack and Jill loved going there and loved the view from on top of the mountain and they always wished that day would never end. One day the king and princess decided they wanted to move because the kingdom was getting old so they left and never looked back but this was heartbreaking for Jack and Jill because they never saw their beautiful mountain again. last week in maths we had to do word problems with fractions numerators and denominators and I thought it was very fun

caricatures

WALT: Draw a picture of yourself and emphasize something that stands out.

2 months ago in room 5, we were learning to create some art and it was called caricatures. Caricatures are basically self-portraits but emphasizing something that stands out in your face by making it larger or making it stand out more. The thing that I emphasized on my face was my nose and it looked pretty funny.

Te reo maori

WALT: Practice saying the following Maori words

For this task, I had to read the Maori words and then translate them to English words. To do that I went to the Maori dictionary online and translated the Maori words then typed the meaning of the English words.

The Grand Canyon

WALT:  Increase our knowledge by reading a wide range of texts.

I learned that the Grand Canyon stretches for 277 miles or 445.788 km.
I also learned that the cliffs of the Grand Canyon are made of brown, red, and yellow rocks and sand.

For this task, I had to read the article about the Grand Canyon and write 2 sentences about what I learned.  Next time I could read more of the text and write a little bit more of what I learned.

What is coronavirus?

Quick writes

WALT: write 100 words in 10 minutes.

For this task, I had to write 100 words in 10 minutes
and choose your own topic and I made a story called
the Aliens.

The Aliens.
Once upon a time in 1596, there was a kid named
Artemis fowl and he was a smart boy.
Artemis fowl lived in a big home full of ancient
artifacts and lived with his dad and mum.

One night while Artemis and his family were sleeping
Artemis woke up to a crashing sound in his
backyard so he went outside to see what it was.

As soon as he went to his backyard he saw nothing
there so then he wondered to
himself what was that crashing sound he heard earlier.
Not long after he saw a bright glow in the middle of
the backyard and then that turned into a spaceship.
Then five unidentified creatures came out and then...
